Emily Marek
FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL
Emily is the lead creative visionary at Emmy Couture Designs. With more than a decade of experience in the luxury residential and boutique commercial design industry, her in-depth knowledge and expertise lead clients on a beautiful design journey.
Emmy holds a B.S. in Interior Design from Northern Arizona University and spent many years at an architectural design firm and a luxury design-build firm, where she became fluent in creating custom homes.
In 2016, Emily decided to channel her experience and impressive portfolio into a firm of her own: Emmy Couture Designs. In addition to her fashion-forward style, she stands out in the industry for her extensive experience designing interior architecture and managing large construction projects. This translates to award-winning interiors where every detail is polished, elevated, and contributes to an incredible daily experience.
When Emily is not in the studio, this St. Louis native enjoys traveling and making memories with her supportive husband and their two amazing kids, Ellie and Gage.
Harley
Senior Designer
Meet Harley Oele, our Senior Designer! Harley holds a B.A. in Design Management with a focus on Interior Design from Arizona State University. With nearly 7 years of experience in the high-end residential design industry, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Emmy Couture Designs team.
Harley’s extensive background allows her to craft thoughtfully designed spaces that are not only visually stunning but also functional. She has a strong proficiency in SketchUp, which enables her to create detailed 3D models and realistic visualizations for her clients. Additionally, Harley has a keen eye for furniture design and scale, ensuring that each piece seamlessly complements the overall aesthetic and functionality of the space. She is committed to creating bespoke, personalized designs that reflect each client’s individual style, while always striving for fresh and creative perspectives.
When she’s not in the office, Harley enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their son, Nolan, finding new restaurants to try, traveling, and creating lasting memories together.
Caroline
Associate Designer
Meet Caroline Van Matre, our Associate Designer! Originally born and raised in Orange County, California, Caroline grew up with a coastal lifestyle as a beach girl before making the transition to the desert—now finding inspiration in both environments and holding a deep appreciation for each. Her creative journey was further shaped by a semester in Rome, where she experienced firsthand how art, architecture, and culture can influence design and reignited her lifelong love for creativity.
After graduating from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Caroline went on to pursue an Associate Degree in Interior Design. She has built a strong foundation with over four years of experience in the industry.
Caroline is skilled in design tools such as SketchUp and AutoCAD and plays an important role in supporting the design team from concept to completion, helping create thoughtful and cohesive spaces.
Outside of work, Caroline loves spending time with friends and family, whether it’s pickleball, golfing, or going to live concerts. She finds inspiration through travel, new experiences, and the little details that spark creativity along the way.
Victoria
Executive Assistant
Meet Victoria, our dynamic Executive Assistant! In 2023, she made the move from Texas to Arizona, eager to embrace new challenges in the Valley's thriving design industry. With a lifelong passion for creativity and serving others, it was only natural that she found her perfect fit at Emmy Couture Designs. Beyond managing daily operations to ensure everything runs smoothly, Victoria has taken the lead on marketing and social media, helping to elevate the firm’s brand and engagement.
Victoria is always up for trying something new—whether it’s refining her golf swing, getting competitive on the pickleball court, or soaking up the Arizona sun. She thrives on building connections, both professionally and personally. If you spot Victoria, don’t hesitate to say hello. She’s always eager to meet new people and make a new friend!
Ronda
Procurement Manager
Meet Ronda! Originally from Southern Illinois, Ronda has called AZ home for over 20 years. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, worked as a billing specialist for almost 16 years, and now serves as the Procurement Manager here at Emmy Couture.
Ronda also is a mother of 2 and a grandmother to 2 and loves spending time with her family. On her days off she enjoys going to the movies, shopping and going on walks with her husband and their dog Zeus.
